Sydney Stewart, RN, Lactation Specialist, IBCLC
I am a Lactation Specialist and a Registered Nurse at the IWK Health Centre with eight years’ experience on the Family Newborn Care Unit. I have had the privilege of supporting countless moms and their precious newborns on their breastfeeding journeys. Breastfeeding is a passion of mine, something I truly believe in, and I have first-hand experience nursing my own daughter, something that has taught me so much about breastfeeding and the importance of a supportive village. I know the absolute joys and challenges that come with breastfeeding, and I am dedicated to helping other mothers navigate this special time. A major focus of Little Latch Company is not only to provide personalized Lactation support, but to foster a supportive community for new and expectant mothers, newborns, and their families. I can’t wait to be part of your breastfeeding journey and help you every step of the way!

I welcomed my little in 2022. It was the beginning of the best years of my life, which are still full of sleepless nights, endless fun, and continued questioning if I am doing it right. Breastfeeding my little was a big part of that first year and a half. One thing I’ve learned is that you cannot do it alone. Through the ups and downs, I have leaned on my community of other moms who are going through similar milestones and changes and learned from them. I want all moms to find their village, develop confidence in their breastfeeding journey, and more importantly confidence in themselves as parents! This is exactly what Little Latch Company will foster. I am a nurse and have worked at the IWK Health Center on the Family Newborn Care Unit for eight years. Through that time, I have supported and problem-solved with many families to figure out what their feeding journey will look like. Now, as a Lactation Specialist, I want to continue that support after those hospital days and well into that first year. I want to be part of your village! We can go through the trials and triumphs of breastfeeding together and figure out what works best for you and your little.
Kaleigh MacDonald-Tremblay, RN, Lactation Specialist
I am a registered nurse with over 10 years of experience dedicated to caring for others, especially mothers and their newborns. As a proud mama of three, I have a deep understanding of the journey that new mothers go through, particularly during the crucial first year postpartum. This personal experience has ignited a passion within me to nurture and support other mothers as they navigate the joys and challenges of early motherhood. From 2018 to 2020, I had the privilege of running my own private practice called the Mama Coach. Through this endeavor, I was able to offer personalized support to mothers in various areas including breastfeeding, sleep training, and navigating developmental milestones, from prenatal care to starting solids. I cherished every moment spent empowering mothers and providing them with the tools they needed to thrive during this transformative time in their lives. Through my nursing practice and my role as a mama, I aim to bridge the gap between clinical care and maternal support. I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of community and understanding in the lives of mothers. I am committed to continuing my work in this field, nurturing the next generation of mothers and ensuring they have the resources and support they need to flourish.
